Alexya Heelis: Building stronger communities in the Saint John region

Saint John Energy and the United Way Saint John, Kings and Charlotte have been strong partners for years, and Alexya will share insights on how that has been beneficial for both organizations.

With over two decades of experience in the non-profit sector, Alexya Heelis is passionate about building strong communities.

The executive director of the United Way Saint John, Kings and Charlotte, Alexya believes strong communities must have thriving non-profit organizations, providing much-needed support to our most vulnerable populations.

Alexya was born and raised in Charlotte County, spent 20 years in Montreal, and was thrilled to move home to New Brunswick in 2011. Her nine-year career with United Way fuels her passion for building up organizations and people to create a stronger region.

She will be speaking at the Saint John Energy Community Update and Annual General Meeting about her mission and the importance of strong partnerships to fostering success.
