Our First Update to the 2021 Saint John Common Council

As an asset belonging to and in the service of the people of Saint John, we presented our first update to this Council of our current position, our challenges, and our opportunities.

By Ray Robinson, October 5, 2021

Last night, Saint John Common Council received a presentation from Saint John Energy and had an opportunity to discuss at length and in depth what the current status is of their electric utility.

We are at a critical time in our history. As we approach our 100th anniversary, we are operating a vital service in an industry that is being disrupted and we are doing it with a great deal of support and with recognition from around the world that we are headed in the right direction and acting responsibly in service to our community.

Both the presentation and the available video recording of our discussion last evening are included. The Saint John Energy Team appreciates the support of our community and the continued enthusiasm from our leaders in support of our transition into the utility of the future.

Ray Robinson is President & CEO of Saint John Energy and Past Chair of the Canadian Electricity Association.
